The Lounge
Treffynnon’s spacious lounge/dining room has sea views, a wood-burning stove and three comfortable sofas to seat eight. The dining table will seat six in comfort but will happily cope with more.
The table and chairs are made from African railway sleeper hardwood that spent the best part of a century lying in the bush of Zimbabwe before being reclaimed. They are extremely robust and not a little heavy!
There is a new Sony LCD TV that comes with Freeview and there’s a DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The bookcase is stacked with a variety of books to suit a diverse readership. We regularly get comments in the visitors book about the range on offer and several times guests have gone off with an unfinished book promising to return it in a Jiffy bag. They have all honoured their promises so far. There’s also a second bookcase on the upstairs landing.
For music lovers that bring their own iPod, iPhone or iPad there’s a B&W Zeppelin Air Dock that will fill the house with sound if required. It also supports direct streaming from phones and laptops that are suitably equipped. There is also and in-house iPod loaded with music of all styles and tastes that will keep you entertained for weeks.
It’s the perfect room for curling up on the sofa, basking in the warmth of the burning logs and reading or watching a movie.
